There is something I enjoy in the process drawing lines. I’m not sure what it is because at first glance it is really a tedious and labor intensive activity. But I enjoy it, I like the movement and repetition. For drawings like these I don’t usually sketch it out before I lay it down in ink so each line is sacred. I suppose if I did I could avoid mistakes or awkward lines, but in a way these things allow you to see the hand.
